Nora Fatehi revealed she used to work in a hookah bar to hone her dancing skills during her struggling days!
Nora Fatehi has carved a successful niche for herself in the entertainment industry. Today, she is regarded as one of the most sought-after dancers in Bollywood as she is the first choice of filmmakers for sizzling item numbers and dance performances. Just like every outsider, Nora too had her fair share of struggles before making it big in the industry. In a recent interview, she talked about her struggling days and revealed she used to work in a hookah bar.
Speaking with BBC Asian Network, the Dilbar girl revealed that she did several odd jobs to fulfill her basic needs and that while she was working in a Hookah bar she honed her dancing skills. Nora was quoted as saying, “Whatever opportunities I have got have been very last minute and thankfully I was prepared. I wouldn’t go out and socialise and party like all the other girls did and have a boyfriend. I’d lock myself in a room every day, learn the language, watch TV and practice in my room. I missed out on my brother’s wedding, his birthday, everything. Talking about working in a hookah bar, the actor-dancer stated she used to hon her dancing skills at her job. “It’s a thing. You just pick up a shisha, just like, ‘Here’s your shisha, how is it? Yes!’ It’s not a ‘Oh, you need me. Alright cool, I’m here',” Nora explained.
In the same interview, the 31-year-old star also expressed her admiration for her idol Helen and said she used to watch and study her dance videos before taking over the stage. Nora even mentioned she will be honoured if she gets a chance to play Helen in her biopic if it is ever made.
Meanwhile, Nora recently enthralled fans with her power-packed performances at the recently concluded IIFA 2023 awards.
